The 2005 WUDI VII Accommodation page
This is the hotel information for Hot Springs, Ark and the Chadwick, MO area.
For the Hot Springs/Train Robbers leg, here's the hotel information:
Update on hotel information by Jim Cook (1/18/2005):
I just spoke with the new manager of the Holiday Inn Express, at the intersection of Hwy 7 and I-30 at Caddo Valley/Arkadelphia.
For the Wudi7 ride, they are giving us a rate of $49.95 plus tax. To get this rate, just call the motel and tell them you are attending the Wudi7 motorcycle ride and need a room.
Their contact information is:
Holiday Inn Express
150 Valley St
Arkadelphia, AR 870-230-1506
-Free Breakfast Bar and Local Calls
Jim said there is horse racing in the Hot Springs area for those that may be interested.
Here's some additional information provided by Todd Turner: toddtrnr@bellsouth.net
By the way, for riders who are wanting to save a few bucks over the Holiday
Inn Express, Arkadelphia also has a Super8. It's not "American owned" but
the last time I stayed there about three years ago it was fine. I think
Super8 corporate mandates better quality standards than other motels. It is
located just south of the Hwy 7 exit off the I-30, next to Wendy's and
across from a Waffle House. Call 800-800-8000 for national reservations and
join their free VIP club for an additional 10% off. Hey, every bit counts.
I am on the road 100 nights a year all over the country. Gotta save a few
when you can.
Thanks, Todd!
On the Chadwick end, there are many choices. Stewart Hall lives in Branson and there are many, many places to eat
and stay there as well as Kmart, Wal-Mart, outlet malls, etc, etc. Branson is about a 45 minute drive from Chadwick.
I've stayed at the Branson Motor Court (417) 334-3420. It's close to Stewart's house, gas stations, car washes,
a grocery store as well as being clean and reasonably priced. No phones in the rooms, though. The only drawback here
is that the parking lot is not overly large and it wouldn't take many trailers to fill it up.
The other option for lodging near Chadwick is in the town of Ozark, Missouri. This would be a bit closer to
the riding area but near a much smaller town. Gas is close by but I'm not sure about grocery stores. There is a
Super 8 (417) 581-8800 and Days Inn (417) 581-5800 that I know of. I would not recommend the Ozark Motel in Ozark, BTW.
You can camp right at the Chadwick riding area, if you'd like. I think they have water now and a lot of new big campsights with water and electric. The only town near by is Chadwick and it's not big! The gas station/grocery store in Chadwick does have most basic supplies, though.
